Which denominations do Euros come in?

Notes come in denominations of EUR 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500. 
Coins come in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents as well as EUR 1 and 2.

Can Euro coins be used in all EMU countries?

All Euro coins are legal tender in all EMU countries although they do have national symbols minted on one side.
There are a lot of forged Euros in circulation, both in Sweden and abroad. The forged notes can easily be detected if you know what you are looking for. There are several security details on the notes e.g. holograms, watermarks and relief print. You can find out more about detecting forged Euro notes and coins on the ECB’s website

How long can the EMU countries’ obsolete currencies be exchanged for?

FOREX Bank will exchange notes from the EMU countries’ obsolete currencies for at least 10 years from the country’s introduction of the Euro, with the exception of Dutch Guilders, Cypriotic Pounds and Slovenian Tolars.

Can I see old exchange rates anywhere?

FOREX Service Centre has access to old exchange rates from 1992 to the present day.
