Vietnam is increasingly becoming popular with Swedes. Charter trips go to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) in conjunction with the sun and beach resorts Phu Quoc, Nha Trang and Phan Thiet – as well as round trips.

Those that have booked their trip in February will experience the festivities round the Vietnamese New Year, tet, which coincides with the Chinese New Year. At midnight on the 14th of February, the Year of the Ox ends and the Year of the Tiger begins.

Tourists are permitted to stay up to 15 days in Vietnam without a visa. For a longer stay, you’ll have to apply for a visa via the Vietnamese Embassy in Stockholm. Do note that in both cases, your passport must be valid for at least 6 months at the time of your return trip.
