47 years in the tailwind

7/2/2012

In 1965 travel agent Rolf Friberg took over a bureau de change in Stockholm’s central station. In 1984 the company was aptly named FOREX, a play on the English words, foreign exchange. The rest is a success story. FOREX then became the Nordic region’s leading exchange company, thanks to the commission-free sales of currency at great rates and the company’s establishment at strategic places in large towns, ferry ports and at airports and railway stations.

In 2003 FOREX was granted a license to offer banking services. FOREX Bank’s business concept is to sell simple bank services with personal service and high accessibility, No other bank has such generous opening hours as FOREX Bank – and the business concept has apparently been a hit with customers.

Today, more than 1,300 people work for the company. FOREX Bank has its head office at Kornhamnstorg in Stockholm and has 120 branches at centrally located premises in the whole of the Nordic region.
