Unlike the French overseas departments, Aruba doesn’t have the motherland’s currency, but the Aruba Florin, with the code AWG. One AWG costs about SEK 4. FOREX Bank doesn’t sell Aruban Florins, but does recommend that travellers take US Dollars with them. Dollars are accepted directly as payment or as a currency to exchange. There are ATMs but they are few and far between.
