Most websites have the option of converting the site’s ‘home currency’ to other currencies. Watch out for the rates! Our experience says that it is not worth converting the currency. The worst example we found was a British site that converted from British Pounds, GBP, to Swedish Crowns, with a conversion rate that was 10% worse, compared to paying in GBP!
Also, don’t use your normal debit or credit card to make online payments. If the card number gets into the wrong hands, you can be in trouble. You load the card with an appropriate amount of money and can then reload it via our voice activated service or over the Internet from a pre-registered VISA or Master Card.
