They will run three flights a week, in both cases on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Ryanair’s planes usually land at small airports, far away from the cities, but not where the two new routes are concerned. The Madrid route goes to the international airport, Barajas, just over 10km from the city centre and the Rome route goes to the city’s second airport, Ciampino. From there it’s a 15km journey into town.
