Alghero, on the west coast, is a cheaper alternative and is just as nice with its mile-long beaches with turquoise water, which you can bathe in into late autumn and an old town centre with alleys and passages with lots of nice restaurants. The town is a good base from which you can explore the wonderful flora and fauna by hire care, bus or train. Ryanair flies from Skavsta to Alghero all summer until the end of October. You can arrange a hotel stay on the Internet, assuming you’re not travelling on a charter trip. Fritidsresor flies there until the first week in September.
