Spain is numero uno here as well!

Spain isn’t just number one in football – the country has the biggest pulling power on Swedish tourists too. If we include the Canary Islands, just over one million Swedes travelled to Spain during 2009, according to research carried out by Vagabond magazine.

The top ten destinations last year (not including Scandinavia or the Baltic countries): 1) Spain 772,000; 2) Germany 656,000; 3) the UK 512,000; 4) France 473,000; 5) Thailand 427,000; 6)Greece 415,000; 7) the USA 405,000; 8) the Canary Islands 398,000; 9) Italy 389,000; 10) Turkey 217,000.
Egypt didn’t quite make it in the top 10 with 153,000 visitors.
