Speaking of the EU...

The European Union (EU) has 27 countries today. There might be more. Three states have an advantage over others and are counted now as candidate countries.

They are Croatia (who in layman’s terms are best poised), The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (yes! That’s its name for official purposes, so as not to annoy Greece, who have a region called Macedonia) and Turkey.
