The increasing amount of people who make their tax declarations electronically will get any rebate owing before midsummer’s day. On behalf of Nordea, TNS Gallup has found out what Swedes will be doing with their tax rebates. The survey shows that most people (56%) see their rebate as additional holiday spending money and spend it on trips and holidays. Just as many (55%) save their money, but one can wonder if they wouldn’t do better by choosing a more active management. The state is hardly known for its generosity with interest rates. 34% will improve and repair their dwelling, whilst 28% will spend their rebate on other household outgoings.

Placed at number six are those who choose to pay off their loans, despite having other high-priority expenses. They’re only just proceeded by those who choose to spend their rebate on new electronics like computers, phones etc. This group mainly comprises men, whilst the more generous women choose to buy home furnishings.
