A better economic climate?

7/3/2013

Businesses are cautiously optimistic when assessing future prospects. You can read about it in the Swedish Central Bank’s (Riksbanken’s) business survey in May, preceding the Monetary Policy Report, which is published three times a year. The economic climate has improved during the spring but is still weak.

The strong Swedish Crown together with weak European demand is putting pressure on profitability in some industries such as forestry and the steel industry. In other sectors of industry order intake is increasing and several sectors are planning to increase their workforce, primarily in commercial sectors.
