A growing industry

Football trips are a steadily growing branch within the tourist industry. New organisers are popping up all the time in addition to the established ones, for example Steve Perryman, who generally organise match tickets and a night in a hotel without an actual trip. This can be good sometimes but rather impractical for some people.

Airtours are a package-tour organiser who include flights in their offers. Generally speaking, price levels in this branch tend to spiral upwards for the “big matches” and become very costly affairs, whilst prices for “normal” matches are at a much lower level. Here are some examples of prices with Airtours (including flights, three nights in a double room and tickets for a match).

1st-4th October, London, Chelsea v Arsenal, SEK 8612 per person;

10th-13th December, Barcelona v Real Sociedad, SEK 4454 per person.
