Cash? Of Course!

6/7/2012

With the exception of Handelsbanken, branches that handle cash are becoming fewer and fewer at the large banks. For example at Nordea, 100 out of 300 branches in Sweden are cashless.

According to the banks, it is about informing customers about why they don’t want to handle cash and they prefer to focus on giving advice, rather than simple banking services. The Swedish Consumers' Banking & Finance Bureau have received many questions from worried bank customers. Svensk Handel (an employers’ organisation) claim that the development is going too fast. The organisation says that a cashless society isn’t possible in the short-term future and that customers must be given the possibility to use the method of payment they wish.

Whilst the big banks are moving away from cash handling, FOREX Bank has an increasingly important role in this context.

FOREX Banks welcomes cash at all its branches. You can make deposits or withdrawals, pay bills and of course! buy foreign currency.
