Four new greek destinations

The Greece specialists, Apollo, who have been part of the Swiss travel group Kuoni for several years, are presenting four new small-scale destinations in the Greek archipelago next summer. Could this be because the company has experienced less interest in all-inclusive holidays?

The four new destinations are: Plakias, a village in the south of Crete; Alonissos, the Island group Sporades’ smallest island; Milos in the Cyclades; Chalki, one of Rhode’s westerly neighbours in the Dodecanese Islands.

The question is; which currency will be used there next summer? Euros or new Drachma?

Is the Greek future one of state bankruptcy, a withdrawal from the Euro and a national currency? It depends on the lenders’ confidence in Greece and if the new coalition government succeeds in reorganizing the budget in line with the conditions of the EU’s salvage package. The Greek public (of which nearly 60% are negative towards the salvage package) won’t get to air their views in a referendum.
