Norrlanders take it easy

Employees in Stockholm work the most during their free time. Over half of employees in Stockholm say that they’ve been available to work during their holiday. This is what a survey by Cint, on behalf of Congrex, reveals. They asked 400 employees around Sweden, in the age bracket 30-60 years, about their stance on working on holiday.

Norrlanders, however, are better at relaxing on holiday. According to the survey, seven out of ten employees in upper Norrland leave their work computers and mobiles at home and the remaining third aren’t available to work on holiday either.

According to Congrex’s MD, Lena Fletcher, the survey shows a marked difference in the attitudes between the cities and rural areas and that it also highlights the notion that many people have in small towns; that it is more stressful to work in Stockholm.
