Our travel economist in Paris

Paris is a city made for long walks, but if you’re pressed for time and wish to see as much as possible, we recommend you choose a bike as your means of transport.

The city boasts the world’s biggest cycle-hiring network with a bike station every 300 metres in the city centre, with a total of 20,000 bikes. The first half hour is free, after which it costs EUR 1.70 per day. All you need to do to be on your way is to register a debit or credit card at the bike station.

Don’t forget that the Metro closes at 1am, but bikes are available all day long! www.velib.paris.fr/
