The snake institute

Queen Saovabha’s Snake Farm is a quirky attraction in Bangkok. The institution, which is run by the Thai Red Cross, is amongst the oldest in the world.

You won’t just get to meet some of the most venomous snakes in the world; you’ll also witness how the snakes’ venom is ‘milked’, in order to produce serum. Demonstrations are held at 2.30pm on weekdays and 11.00am at weekends.
