What is e-ID?
E-ID is an electronic identity document which you use to identify yourself online. It is a personal document, just like a driving license or your regular ID card. By using e-ID, you can sign and approve documents online. A signature by e-ID is as legally binding as a signature by hand.
Where do I get e-ID from?
In Sweden, e-ID is issued by banks and by Telia. E-ID has several different names depending which issuer it is. The names are: Bank ID, Nordeas e-legitimation (e-identification) or Telias e-legitimation. In order to get e-ID, you must be registered as a resident of Sweden and have a Swedish personal identity number (personnummer). The age limit depends on the issuer.
How do I get an e-ID?
As FOREX Bank doesn’t currently offer e-ID, you need to contact your other bank or Telia for this service. You’ll find links to all the issuers on the left. You can order your e-ID from those sites, which you then download on to your computer.
E-ID as a data file or on a smart card?
E-ID is issued either as a data file or on a smart card. FOREX Bank only supports identification by e-ID as a data file on your computer.
Can I move my e-ID?
If your e-ID is a data file you can move it from one computer to another by using a USB memory.
