Dynamic Currency Conversion

Many European countries offer a service called “Dynamic Currency Conversion” which means that you can pay in Swedish crowns at the point of sale. The conversion rate is decided by the retailer’s own bank, who always charges a high currency conversion fee compared to VISAS’s rates. You’ll always get the choice of whether to use this service or not. FOREX Bank recommends that you always pay in the country’s local currency because this service is usually much more expensive and VISA’s rates are more competitive than the rates the retailer’s bank sets.

Cash withdrawal abroad

  • Some ATMs might want a six digit pin code, which means you have to add two zeros prior to the pin code. If your withdrawal don’t succeed, try another ATM.
  • If an ATM abroad keeps your card, you must immediately block it by calling FOREX Costumer service on +46 (0) 771-22 22 21.
  • Sometimes the local bank can take an extra fee for the withdrawal from their ATMs. Information regarding the fee should be given by the bank and the fee is charged in connection to the transaction.
  • FOREX Bank charges a fee according to the pricelist for withdrawals abroad. This fee is charged separately from your account.
