Using the card abroad

Our cards: bank card and credit card

Travelling abroad with your card

Many European countries offer “Dynamic Currency Conversion” which means that you can choose to pay in your own local currency. The conversion rate is decided by the retailer’s own bank, who often charge a high currency conversion fee compared to VISAS’s rates. We recommend you to pay in the country’s local currency instead since this is usually cheaper.

Cash withdrawal abroad

  • Some ATMs abroad require a six digit pin code. If so, you have to add two zeros prior to your ordinary pin code. If your withdrawal does not succeed, try another ATM.
  • If an ATM abroad keeps your card, you must immediately block the card by calling FOREX Costumer service on +46 (0) 771-22 22 21.
  • Some local banks charge an extra fee for withdrawals from their ATMs. Information regarding the fee should be given by the bank. The fee is charged in connection to the transaction.
  • FOREX Bank charges a fee according to the pricelist for withdrawals abroad. This fee is charged separately from your account.
