In New Zealand the New Zealand dollar is used. It has the currency code NZD. One dollar is divided into 100 cent. The currency was implemented during the years of 1967 to 1969. Before the dollar, the currency used was the New Zealand pound.
Tip! If you bring more than 10 000 New Zealand dollars you must declare this in customs. In New Zealand, cash is more common to use than here in Sweden. Most hotels, restaurants shops accept card payments and ATMs are available in cities.
