Buying foreign currency from us is free of charge, you pay the rate we offer on the day you visit us. If you save your receipt from when you bought the currency from us, you do not pay a fee when exchanging it back to Swedish kronor. If you do not have a receipt or a FOREX Credit Card, a re-exchange fee of SEK 50 will be added.

• In store – pay by card

We accept Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron, V-pay, American Express and Diners.

• In store – pay with cash

In stores you can pay with Swedish cash. We accept all denominations. If you pay with coins, a count-up fee may apply if you have more than 50 coins in number at the time of payment. 

When you come to us, the staff in the store may ask you questions about the origin of the money and the purpose of the transaction, in some cases we also request documentation that proves this. We are doing this because of the Money Laundering Act. It is always the staff in the store who make the assessment whether we can complete the transaction or not.

• Online – pay by card or swish

If you buy or order currency online, you can also pay with Swish.

• Do you pay by card? Keep track of any fees at your bank

If you pay by card with us, it counts as a cash withdrawal over the counter, something some banks charge you as a customer for. Before purchasing currency from us, you can contact your bank for information regarding any fees.

With FOREX Credit Card, you avoid that fee.

When exchanging currencies at FOREX, it is important that you have valid identification in order to carry out your transactions smoothly and securely. ID documents that have expired or are broken are not liked.

• Swedish passport - A Swedish passport issued by the Swedish Police Authority is a valid ID document for transactions at FOREX.
• Swedish national ID card - A Swedish national ID card issued by the Swedish Police Authority is a valid ID document for transactions at FOREX.
• Swedish driver's license - A Swedish driver's license issued by the Swedish Transport Agency is a valid ID document for carrying out foreign exchange transactions with us.
• Swedish SIS-marked ID card - If you have a SIS-marked ID card, which has been issued by a bank, a company or a government agency, you can use this as identification at FOREX when exchanging currency. Make sure that the card is correctly marked with the SIS logo for it to be accepted.
• ID card issued by the Swedish Tax Agency - The Swedish Tax Agency's ID card is an approved ID document within Sweden.

For non-Swedish citizens, we strongly recommend that you have a valid passport to carry out currency exchange with us. A passport is an internationally recognized ID document and will facilitate your transactions at FOREX

You do not pay a fee when you buy, reserve or order currency. If you order currency and choose to have it sent to the nearest post office, there is free shipping from SEK 5,000.
